External Communications

Digital operations is not what it sounds like. LOL.

It's actually a lot more fun.

Sometimes, when you say things like "we'd like to update and streamline your digital operations" to a client, delivering a swift punch to the face, instead, might be kinder. It would certainly be less painful. Because this work sounds complicated, time-consuming and, worst of all, expensive, it's the kind of phrase that can make a client ... suspicious. But it's really not a big deal. All it means is this: we weave smart, proven business practices into all things digital to modernize a business' online presence.

Here's how it unfolded for Dorian Bennett Sotheby's International Realty, a New Orleans franchise partnered with the internationally-renowned real estate conglomerate and auction house. The firm was founded in 2005 by its namesake, who has been in the business since 1977. In January 2020, the company changed ownership. Major transitions like this can be a little bumpy. (Sometimes, a lot bumpy. Like an Uptown street.) So when they asked for help, we responded by rounding up a crack team of highly skilled, flexible talent to help the local firm establish digital continuity and, over time, update the company's marketing and online presence.

Here's what we did.

From re-establishing access to all social media platforms (employees and passwords come and go, you know?) to mastering and managing Design Vault (Sotheby's International Realty's tremendous marketing platform), we brought the brand up to date across all digital platforms, and we continue to manage external communications for the team. We launched and maintain a beautiful blog for DBSIR, to showcase the group's incredible real estate listings across the Gulf South and to tap into SIR's world-class integrated content marketing resources. We produced and execute a basic social media strategy to maximize visibility and maintain brand consistency across all platforms. We worked with a beloved local photographer to update agents' headshots. We're involved with them on a weekly basis to handle needs as they arise, and to provide ongoing digital support and maintenance.

And this is why we do it.

Like all of our clients, we did (and still do) a little bit of everything for DBSIR, partly because it gives us the perfect excuse to gawp at dreamy images of beautiful homes from New Orleans to Natchez all day long ... and we get to call it "work." But we also do it because the team at DBSIR is an absolute joy to work with. (And we've never ever had to say — much less explain — the words "streamline your digital operations" to them. It just gets done.)
